Geriatrics - Online Education Committee Chair

Description:

This position leads the Online Education Committee. The Committee provides oversight and coordination of continuing education offered virtually, which currently includes the Home Study Courses (HSC) and webinars. The Committee will also be involved with the build out of the new APTA Geriatrics online learning microsite.

Responsibilities:

  1. Work directly with HSC Editors and staff to coordinate online course delivery
  2. Liaison between the committee and staff.
  3. Schedule and hold meetings of the committee.
  4. Create meeting agendas and take minutes/notes.
  5. Ensure all committee members are equally engaged in committee work.
  6. Recommend projects that support the APTA Geriatrics mission/vision/values.
  7. Recruit committee members to become future leaders of this committee and orient your successor.
  8. Recruit future committee members.
  9. Alongside staff, lead the committee in planning and coordinating yearly online educational programming (which aligns with Academy’s strategic plan and annual budget).
  10. Provide committee reports as requested.

 Qualifications: Must be a member of the APTA Geriatrics.  

 Experience Required: 3+ Years Industry Experience
