Description:

The American Academy of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation has asked APTA to identify applicants for the panel that will develop a Cerebral Palsy in Adults Clinical Practice Guideline. Interested members with relevant subject matter experience should apply.

Length of Volunteer Commitment: 12-15 Months 

Scope of Responsibilities: The Technical Expert Panel (TEP)’s role is to develop and write the guidance statement.  

TEP Member Qualifications and Requirements: To ensure a balanced, diverse and knowledgeable TEP, the composition of the TEP shall include: 

  • At least 1 patient/caregiver perspective (when appropriate) 
  • Clinical guideline/guidance development 
  • Translational research – research to practice 
  • Cerebral Palsy clinical practice experience (both pediatric, adult and the transition from pediatric to adult) 
  • Evidence review and education in Cerebral Palsy Management 
  • Health Equity and Disparities (e.g., race, ethnicity, English proficiency, rural location, disability)
