Three year term. The election for the Southern District Nominating Committee Member will be held in spring, 2020 for the term beginning January 1, 2021.
The Southern district includes Madison, Bond, Marion, Clay, Richland, Lawrence, St. Clair, Clinton, Wayne, Edwards, Wabash, Monroe, Washington, Jefferson, Randolph, Perry, Franklin, Hamilton, White, Jackson, Saline, Gallatin, Williamson, Union, Johnson, Pope, Hardin, Alexander, Pulaski and Massac Counties.
The responsibilities of committee members include soliciting nominations; contacting nominees for consent to serve; and attempt to secure at least two candidates for each open position for District elections. They also promote the Association, Chapter, and District leadership opportunities and professional development activities to the District members, and communication with the Chapter Nominating Committee on a regular basis.
