Description:

The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) has invited APTA to nominate a subject matter expert to participate in the development of an evidence-based case pathway which will be integrated into the electronic health record. This work is part of a study designed to address the gap in secondary fracture prevention, with a focus on postmenopausal women and women over 55 years of age who have sustained a hip fracture.

AAOS is collaborating with Amgen on this study.

Interested members with experience providing care for patients with osteoporosis and/or developing care pathways should apply.

Timeline: Work is anticipated to begin in December 2025 and will be conducted through a series of virtual meetings.

Deadline for application: November 5, 2025.
