APTA Geriatrics is seeking volunteers to serve on a DEI Task Force.
Members: The Task force will be comprised of 5 members appointed by the Board of Directors. A Chair will be selected by the members of the task force itself.
Charge: Members of the Task Force, appointed by the Board of Directors, will conduct a sweeping review of APTA Geriatrics documents, policies and procedures, website, and social media platforms to ensure they are not exclusive in any way and that they reflect the organization’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Product: A written report of the task force’s findings with recommendations for action will be presented to the Board of Directors.
Funding: No funding is anticipated. Work will be completed by volunteer members who will do the work remotely/virtually.
Timeline: Work will be completed by October 31, 2020 with a report to the Board of Directors no later than November 6, 2020.
