The Membership Chair is responsible for fostering the growth and development of student and new professional involvement within APTA Pediatrics and the Student and New Professional Special Interest Group.
In collaboration with other SNP SIG Chairs, the Membership Chair:
Promotes and engages students and new professionals to participate in SIG events
Writes and submits SNP updates for APTA Pediatrics Milestones Newsletter
Moderates the SNP page on MightyNetworks
Plans the Annual Conference and CSM Mixers in collaboration with the Vice Chair
Act as a SNP leader liaison to the SNP Mentor program
Attends regular SNP leadership meetings
Must be willing to advocate based on the best interests of the members of the SNP SIG
Can be either PT/PTA new professional, defined as someone in their first 5 years of PT practice OR student PT/PTA
Term: 2 years, with no more than 2 consecutive terms
Reports to: SNP SIG Chair
