The Vice Chair is responsible for representing the interests of students and advocating for their continued involvement in APTA Pediatrics projects and initiatives.
In collaboration with other SNP SIG leaders, the Vice Chair
Organize and host SNP mixers at both APTA Pediatrics Annual Conference and CSM
Collaborate with the SNP Chair in running monthly meetings. When SIG Chair is absent at meetings, Vice Chair assumes the responsibilities.
Create and organize new and engaging opportunities for students
Assist in running the SNP SIG Journal Club
Attends regular SNP leadership meetings
Exhibit skills such as leadership, strong communication, willingness to delegate tasks, be able to represent the SNP to the APTA Pediatrics Directors and Executive Committee, be able to retain and attract new members to the academy
Must be willing to advocate based on the best interests of the members of the SNP SIG
Term: 2 years, with no more than 2 consecutive terms
Reports to: SNP SIG Chair
The Vice Chair must be a PT/PTA student at the start of their term, with preference given for first or second year students.
