Description: State Pediatric Advocacy Liaisons (SPALs) work with the Director of Advocacy to represent APTA Pediatrics and serve a conduit/resource between members and state chapters. SPALs bring awareness of local, state, and regional needs for advocacy regarding children, adolescents, adults with developmental disabilities, and families. SPALs help identify and guide development of advocacy resources and educate/mentor pediatric therapists to engage in advocacy efforts to address local and state issues.
