The APTA Bylaws and House Documents Committee is seeking two members to serve a three-year term.
The Bylaws of the American Physical Therapy Association (Article VII., Section C.) provide that the Bylaws and House Documents Committee shall review and propose revisions to these bylaws, standing rules, and Association policies and positions for the profession adopted by the House as prescribed in the standing rules.
The Standing Rules of the American Physical Therapy Association (SR 10) provide that on a regular, established basis the committee will review the Association bylaws, standing rules, and Association documents created by the House and, as it deems appropriate, bring motions and amendments to the House for consideration. The committee will make editorial corrections as necessary to Association bylaws, standing rules, and Association documents created by the House, and will communicate such corrections to the House.
Eligibility and Qualifications
• Committee members shall be Physical Therapist members.
• Knowledge of APTA governance structure and the interrelationship between APTA governing documents such as the articles of incorporation, bylaws, standing rules, and policies.
• Experience and expertise in areas relevant to practice within the physical therapy profession.
• Understanding of APTA House of Delegates processes, structure, and function.
• Ability to analyze and synthesize a vast amount of information.
• Ability to collaborate with delegates, component leaders and other stakeholders to elicit input.

Three year term
Meetings - Virtual meetings will be held the second Friday of the month from 10:30 am - noon ET.
Travel is required to APTA Leadership Congress to attend the House of Delegates
Monthly meetings via webinar and other meetings as necessary
