Volunteers are integral to APTA’s success. Our goal with our new engagement system is to capture volunteer opportunities across the organization and establish a simple process for engaging volunteers.
With the use of our new system we hope to encourage volunteerism at all levels by using an intuitive system that makes it easy to find opportunities that best meet your needs.
Logging In to APTA Engage
Members should first log into the site at the upper top corner of the home page. Not a member? You'll need to first join APTA or create an account to see what opportunities may be available to you. Note that you may be able to view opportunities without the ability to apply or learn more until you are logged in. Once you're logged in, you're ready to move onto the next step!
Opting In to the APTA Volunteer Pool
Being part of the APTA volunteer pool means that you are interested in learning about future engagement opportunities available through APTA, at both the national and component level. When you're opted into the pool, you will receive email alerts as new opportunities opens up that match your qualifications and interests.
Opting In is easy- with one click, you are added to APTA's volunteer pool. This means that when new opportunities come up, you'll be the first to learn about them. Once opted in, you can of course suspend your opt-in request at any time. Just set the Invite me to volunteer when opportunities match my expertise? toggle from 'Yes to 'No' on your volunteer profile to no longer receive invitations.

Your Volunteer Profile
Completing your volunteer profile will help us know what kind of volunteer opportunities you are interested in. You can also opt out of receiving any future communications about opportunities from your volunteer profile.

Check out and consider volunteering for the opportunities now open! The full listing of opportunities is available through the Volunteer Opportunities List. You may also choose to view opportunities at your component level or at APTA national only.
Note that your chapter or section(s) may not have opportunities posted in the system yet. Please check back periodically as this new system grows and additional opportunities are added. You may also contact your chapter or section(s) directly to see how to become involved.
