Description:

Are you passionate about shaping the future of physical therapy education and professional development? Do you thrive in collaborative environments and possess a keen eye for innovative programming? If so, we invite you to join us as the Programming Chair for the APTA NC Annual Conference!

As the Programming Chair, you will play a pivotal role in curating an engaging and dynamic conference experience for physical therapy professionals across North Carolina. This is a unique opportunity to showcase your leadership skills while contributing to the advancement of our profession.

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with the conference planning committee to develop a comprehensive and diverse program that addresses the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities in physical therapy practice, research, and education.

- Recruit and oversee APTA NC Conference Programming Committee

- Review and evaluate educational session submissions to ensure alignment with the conference theme, objectives, and audience needs.

- Coordinate with speakers and presenters to finalize session details, logistics, and audiovisual requirements.

- Oversee the scheduling and organization of sessions to optimize attendee engagement and learning outcomes.

- Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to promote the conference and attract attendees from diverse backgrounds and practice settings.

Requirements:

- Active membership in APTA NC and a strong commitment to advancing the physical therapy profession.

- Knowledge of emerging trends and best practices in physical therapy education, research, and practice.

- Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Activities are virtual except for 2 days onsite at the Annual Conference location in October of each year.
