KY Chapter - President-elect

KPTA's President-elect serves a one-year term and then automatically becomes KPTA's President for a term of three years. Any physical therapist member of KPTA is eligible to serve in this position (including life and retired members).

The President serves as official head of and public spokesperson for the Chapter and presides at all meetings of the Chapter, the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee, and is an ex officio member of all committees except the Nominating Committee and Ethics Committee. The President submits annual reports and all other reports to the Association by the proper dates. The President also submits a list of three (3) names to the Governor for appointments to the State Board of Physical Therapy after the names are proposed by general membership.

The president is a voting member of the KPTA Board of Directors and Executive Committee. For information on the duties of the Board and Executive Committee, please review our bylaws.
