This subcommittee works under the Communications Services Committee Chair. Subcommittee members act as a team of volunteers to create content for social media and post it on behalf of APTA Pediatrics. Members respond to requests from APTA Pediatrics leadership and volunteers to post particular content. Members write text and use Canva to create images, schedule content to be posted on social media in accordance with our social media strategy, and monitor comments/messages on our social media channels. The team divides duties such that each member is on duty 3-4 times per year, with a partner. On-duty months will require approximately 20 hours per month of time, while off duty months will require 0-1 hour of time commitment. Members can generally choose which months of the year they prefer to be on duty.

Familiarity with the activities and structure of APTA Pediatrics is helpful but not required. We will train volunteers to use Canva and mentor volunteers until they are comfortable with the process. An ideal candidate will possess skill in written communications and an eye for graphic design.
