CPT Alternate Advisor in Training

Participation in the Current Procedural Terminology CPT process is an important element of APTA engagement. APTA members serve as Advisors and Alternate Advisors in the CPT/Health Care Professional Advisory Committee (HCPAC) 

CPT Advisors have three principal roles in the CPT Editorial
Process:
1. preparing applications submitted by their specialty medical societies and societies representing qualified healthcare professionals (“Society” or “Societies”) or assisting other Societies with their applications;
2. commenting on other applicants’ applications in advance of Panel meetings; and
3. assisting the RUC Advisor to their Society in preparing submissions to the RUC.

APTA is seeking individuals who have an interest in engaging in the CPT process on behalf of APTA. APTA will provide mentoring opportunities for applicants.
