Description:

The Guide Revision Workgroup is charged with the review, revision process, and final draft of The Guide to Physical Therapist Practice 4th edition (Guide 4th edition). Responsibilities of the workgroup include:

  • To determine the key issues that need to be changed in the Guide 4th Edition and provide oversight on the appropriateness of these changes by confirmation or reconciliation with past Editions. 
  • Coordinate a process for incorporating input from members as appropriate i.e., online Guide Revision Survey.
  • Present the final draft of the Guide 4th edition to the SPAC. 
  • Recommend a process for future updates and revisions to the Guide so that it will accurately reflect physical therapist practice and serve as a useful resource for members and stakeholders.

Qualifications: 

  • Knowledge and use of the Guide to PT Practice in education, research and practice.
  • Knowledge of current APTA positions and policies
  • Knowledge of the movement system
  • Physical Therapist
Experience Levels:  Would like varied experience from early career to seasoned professionals. 

Estimated hours:  1 or 2 meetings/month for 1.5 to 2 hours in length, with assignments in between meetings.
