Description:

The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) Committee on Evidence-Based Quality and Value (EBQV) spearheads initiatives to promote, educate and develop Evidence Based Medicine products such as Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPGs). The AAOS will soon begin the next Clinical Practice Guideline (CPG) on the Management of Acute Meniscal Pathology. AAOS is looking for an APTA member to represent physical therapy management of Acute Meniscal Pathology. The APTA member should have sound expertise on this guideline topic to participate on the guideline development workgroup for this CPG.

All Nominees Must:
• Be free of relevant financial conflicts and be willing to sign an attestation form declaring they will maintain an absence of relevant conflicts for the duration of the guideline process and two full years following approval of the guideline by the AAOS Board of Directors.
• Complete the AAOS Conflict of Interest disclosure form online before participating. Keep in mind that AAOS staff will also review any conflict of interest data available via CMS Open Payments.
• Clarify any conflicts that may be deemed relevant. Please note that financial conflicts related to matters outside of the scope of this CPG will not preclude participation.
Workgroup members will also be required to attend two virtual mandatory meetings: an introductory meeting and a final meeting, as well as participate via email and teleconference as needed throughout the development process. Please note that once the development work group has been constructed, we will poll the group for availability prior to selecting the introductory and final meeting dates.
