Description:

The IPTA is looking for PTs, PTAs, or students to help provide content and maintain our IPTA social media platforms.

Our IPTA Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts are dedicated to engaging all people about the physical therapy profession and we want to increase engagement across all three platforms through dynamic and relevant content. We’re looking for volunteers who are savvy on social media to serve a one-year term.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Share relevant content from IPTA social media and website
  • 1-2 posts per week.
  • Engage with promoting dialogue with our audiences.
  • Work with IPTA staff to develop content ideas and graphics which:
    • Promote IPTA & APTA events, engagement opportunitites, and community involvement.
    • Increase engagement
    • Promote membership and involvement in the IPTA.

Qualifications: Must be an IPTA member in good standing. Experience with Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter and are comfortable posting content to these platforms. Comfortable with creating recorded content and hosting occasional online events. Collaborate with IPTA staff to draft responses to comments and direct messages.

Time Commitment:  2-4 hours per week.

Training and Support:  The Chapter office provides annual volunteer orientation as well as ongoing administrative and clerical support for volunteers.

Reports to: The IPTA President & Chapter staff.

Recourse: The IPTA places great value on the relationship between members, staff, and businesses working together to further our mission. The IPTA also recognizes that there may be occasions when conflicts arise. If such circumstance occurs, please consult with the IPTA President and Executive Director.

Evaluation: The IPTA BOD President will contact you before the completion of your term for feedback on your volunteer experience. This will be used to update this volunteer description, develop appropriate materials, and effectively orient future volunteers.
