Volunteer Opportunity Details

APTA NC relies on the Sponsorship Chair to secure company sponsorships for the Annual Conference. This volunteer is responsible for sponsor communication and acquisition, updating benefits packages in collaboration with others, maintaining relationships, and managing the list of potential sponsor for follow-ups. 

In-person attendance at the Annual Conference (typically in Oct) is required and registration is complementary. In addition, in the preceding months, the Sponsorship Chair attends monthly virtual meetings with the Annual Conference Committee for planning and coordination of the event.

The volunteer has the opportunity to network, attend educational sessions, and develop project management skills as deadlines and ongoing communication are required for the role. 

The position requires 5 hours per month on average. The commitment is 3 years.
