The CCIP Advisory Work Group (CCIW), a volunteer group that provides programmatic policy oversight and maintenance for APTA’s Level 1 and Level 2 Credentialed Clinical Instructor Programs, is now accepting applications for 1 vacancy. Selected applicants will begin a 3-year term on July 1, 2021.
Current members who are interested and eligible to serve another term should reapply to be considered.
Who Should Apply:
Individuals applying for the CCIW should meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Credentialed clinical trainers who are currently active, have at least three years of experience in teaching the Level 1 Credentialed Clinical Instructor Program course, and have renewed their trainer credential at least once.
- Commitment to a term of service lasting three years, from July 1, 2021 – June 30, 2024.
- Availability to attend an annual meeting in July either at APTA’s headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia or in a virtual format. The 2021 meeting is scheduled for Friday, July 9.
- Availability to attend quarterly conference calls, and an onsite meeting at CSM.
- Level 2 trainer credentialing is not a prerequisite, but may serve as an important consideration as part of the application review process.
- Additional factors that may influence consideration include but are not limited to 1) prior service with other association work groups, committees, or task forces, and 2) involvement with the association’s component or national leadership.
How To Apply:
All trainers who meet the requirements and have an interest in serving on the work group are encouraged to apply. The deadline for applications is Friday, May 28, 2021. To apply, complete the following three steps:
- Review the requirements and responsibilities required of the CCIW on pages 36-38 of the CCIP policies and procedures.
- Complete the online application and consent form.
- Upload a current curriculum vitae (3-5 pages maximum).
Following a review period, candidates will be notified no later than June 18, 2021. In accordance with APTA policy, selection to the work group is at the discretion of APTA staff.
