Volunteer Opportunity Details

The APTA Pediatrics Mentoring Program Committee is seeking volunteers for two sub-committee members to join three current sub-committee members to assist with content development for up to four web-based programs. These programs will seek to enhance the mentoring program as we work to revitalize mentoring connections throughout the duration of the yearly program. We are seeking all levels of experience for content development and idea generation.

The committee plans to host a series of virtual events to allow for inter-program networking as well as guided mentoring experiences to enhance the individual relationships created within mentorship pairings. Ideas for these programs include, but are not limited to, a journal club, discussion of clinical practice guidelines, virtual happy hour, or panel discussions.

About the Mentoring Committee: By facilitating mentoring relationships, providing opportunities for reflection and self-examination, and connecting pediatric physical therapists from around the country, the APPT Mentoring Program helps pediatric physical therapists of diverse experience strengthen their clinical reasoning and treatment approaches to optimize movement and participation for all children.
