APTA is participating in the USA Science and Engineering, Virtual SciFest All Access, October 18-24, 2021, a STEM expo for K-12 students, families, and educators. Last year this conference welcomed 75,000 attendees, from all 50 states and 99 countries. This year APTA has a virtual booth to promote the profession of physical therapy.
We are looking for volunteers to help in the virtual booth on various days during that week. Volunteers will answer questions about the profession of physical therapy from participants and prospective students that visit APTA's virtual booth. We are looking for DPT and PTA students and PTs and PTAs. As mentioned, this is a virtual conference so it can be done from the comfort of your own home. Also, it’s 100% chat, no video required.
The booth days and hours are listed below. When you click on the application you’ll see the shifts to sign up for. Feel free to sign up for more than one shift if you are available.
Volunteer Times:
Monday, October 18 – Thursday, October 21: 10:00a – 5:00p EST
Friday, October 22 – Sunday, October 24: 12:00p – 3:00p EST
