The JACPT is the primary publication through which the Academy strives to achieve its vision of promoting the highest level of acute care physical therapist practice, education and research across all settings. The JACPT is published four times a year.

Glenn Irion, PT, PhD, current Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Acute Care Physical Therapy, will end his term of service after a new editor is ready to take over responsibilities. Dr. Irion is the founding editor and has been serving in this role for the entire 12 years of the journal’s existence.  He has graciously agreed to make himself available as a resource during the transition period.

An Overview of the Position:

The editor will be responsible for the overall visionary leadership to assure that the JACPT remains a high quality, peer-reviewed journal that supports acute care physical therapy scholarship that informs clinical practice. filled. The term of the editor will commence on or around November 15 and the new Editor will produce the Spring 2022 issue.
