APTA is seeking volunteers to serve as APTA PTA Member Engagement Group Delegates members.
Background:
The APTA PTA Member Engagement Group delegation consists of a chief delegate, a chief delegate-elect, who serves as the second delegate, and an alternate delegate to represent the APTA PTA Member Engagement Group in the APTA House of Delegates.
Eligibility and Selection:
Candidacy is open to all PTA members who are association members in good standing. A delegate of a member group may not serve concurrently as a delegate of another member group. With the exception of the PTA Council chair serving as an alternate delegate, PTA Council steering group members are not eligible to serve concurrently as a PTA Member Engagement Group delegate.
Terms
PTA Council representatives elect a chief delegate-elect every two years, who serves a four-year term: two years as delegate and two additional years as chief delegate. The PTA Council chair serves as alternate delegate.
To establish staggered cycles, in 2023, both a chief-delegate and a delegate (chief-elect) will be elected to begin on Jan. 1, 2024. Following this, one delegate will be elected every two years for a four-year term: two years as delegate/chief-elect and two years as chief delegate.

Interested individuals may apply for one or both of these opportunities through this application.
