Volunteer Opportunity Details

The American Board of Physical Therapy Residency and Fellowship Education is seeking volunteers for a task force that will advise the board on matters pertaining to the costs and benefits of physical therapists completing residency or fellowship post professional education programs. The task force shall present a report to ABPTRFE in September of 2022.

Applications are due by June 13, 2022. 

Members
APTA staff shall appoint eight individuals to serve on the ABPTRFE Financial Fact Sheet Task Force. One member from ABPTRFE shall serve as a liaison to the task force. 

Term of Appointment
July 1, 2022 - August 31, 2022

Qualifications for Appointees

• Residency or Fellowship Program Director or Coordinator
• Program Director/Coordinator from different program types, i.e. multi-site, single site, multi-facility, hospital based, university based, private based
• Recent residency or fellowship graduate
• Current residency or fellowship participant

Tasks

1. Review and edit current version of ABPTRFE's Financial Fact Sheet
2. Identify suggested uses of ABPTRFE's Financial Fact Sheet
3. Develop guidelines for program directors/coordinators for use of and publication of ABPTRFE's Financial Fact Sheet
4. Provide a report with recommendations to ABPTRFE for implementation in 2023.

Meetings
This task force will meet monthly using a virtual platform.
