Jan 15: Participate in the Video Shoot for APTA’s Next Public Service Announcement

Wanted: PTs and PTAs to participate in our next public service announcement (TV and online) for our ChoosePT awareness campaign about physical activity.

Apply by Dec. 31, 2020. 

Requirements: The video shoot will take place Jan. 15 at Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia. To participate you must:

• Be a current APTA member. 
• Be available between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Jan. 15. You will be assigned a 3-hour timeslot the day of the shoot so you’re not sitting around all day.
• Be responsible for your own transportation to/from the video shoot.
• Sign a waiver to allow your image to be used in the public service announcement and related APTA and ChoosePT materials.
• Agree to taking a COVID-19 test that we will provide to you via mail with instructions and a return envelope. (You must pass the test to be included in the shoot.)
• Wear a mask and practice safe distancing when on location whenever shooting is not taking place.

What’s Involved: If selected, you will be paired with an actor portraying a physical therapy patient to film simulations of patient care. You will be captured with video and still photography. No dialogue is required. Your shooting time should take approximately 3 hours.

Then What Happens: The video will be edited and released in February. It will air on TV stations throughout the country via donated air-time, and it will be available online.
