APTA liaison to the Physical Activity Alliance

APTA National – Nomination for liaison to the Physical Activity Alliance (PAA). APTA is seeking a qualified member to serve as the APTA representative on the Physical Activity Alliance Board of Directors. PAA’s mission is “to lead efforts to create, support, and advocate policy and system changes that enable all Americans to enjoy physically active lives”.

The member should have clinical experience in in the area of health promotion, physical activity, and wellness and a strong understanding of the physical therapy profession. Experience in advocacy and policy related to physical activity and system changes that enable all Americans to enjoy physically active lives.

The PAA Board meets virtually once a month, one in-person meeting annually, with committee meetings every other month. Capitol Hill briefings are held each year.

The member liaison will be required to produce a report to APTA annually in November.
