Description:

The Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT) Board has elected to create 3 new virtual task forces in 2020: the Artificial Intelligence Task Force, the Impaired Practitioner Task Force, and the Boundary Violations Task Force. FSBPT has requested that APTA consider nominating individuals to serve on these task forces.

Please select the blue “Apply Today” button and complete the application form to be considered for nomination. Note that each of these task forces is posted as a separate opportunity in APTA Engage. Please apply separately for each to be considered for nomination for one or more of the task forces.

Boundary Violations Task Force

The proposed charge of the boundary violations task force is to review and report the laws and rules of jurisdictions regarding sexual boundary violations and mandatory reporting; review peer organization’s literature regarding the regulation of licensees with sexual boundary violations, identify potential barriers for reporting violations to regulatory boards; determine the need to develop additional educational resources for state regulatory boards; and to recommend further action to the FSBPT Board of Directors based on the findings.

Time commitment:
The task force will meet virtually only (no travel). The commitment is expected to be participation in four WebEx or Zoom meetings, as well as any background reading and research. The term will conclude by year-end 2020.
