Description:

Based on the House of Delegates motion that passed in June 2018, the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) was charged to evaluate documentation requirements for physical therapists providing prevention, wellness, fitness, aftercare and health promotion services. The practice department of APTA will be engaging members to accomplish this charge.

The practice department is seeking 5 members to serve on the staff work group for a 9 month term. 


Requirements:

  • Must be an APTA member in good standing
  • Must be a physical therapist
  • An understanding of APTA documentation guidelines: http://www.apta.org/Documentation/
  • Experience, knowledge of physical therapist practice in prevention/wellness/fitness/health promotion 
  • Experience in clinical documentation 


Responsibilities: 
 

  • Participate in monthly electronic meetings lasting approximately one hour each
  • Completion of assignments in designated time frames between meetings
