Job Description – Chairperson

• The Chairperson will set the agenda and preside over each official NM PT-PAC meeting and conference call. 

• The Chairperson will consult with APTA New Mexico staff lobbyist(s) on the leadership and management of the political action committee. 

Job Description - Board of Trustees

• Each Trustee will take primary responsibility for recruitment and retention of donors to NM PT-PAC. 

• Each Trustee will become familiar with the rules and regulations governing political action committees in New Mexico. 

• Each Trustee will advance the agenda of NM PT-PAC through participation in official meetings, conference calls, APTA New Mexico conferences and other activities in support of NM PT-PAC. 

• Each Trustee will mentor leaders and potential future trustees in fundraising and PAC acumen and management.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Maintain membership in APTA/NM Chapter. 

• Contribute on an annual basis to the NM PT-PAC. 

• Identify prospective contributors among APTA New Mexico members. 

• Identify fundraising strategies to meet the target contribution goals of NM PT-PAC.
• Serve as the NM PT-PAC checking account administrator/Treasurer.
