Description:

The Council of Component Executives is a community for individuals who provide management services to components of the association. If a component has more than 1 staff person, then the executive director or CEO is the council member. The council is seeking a current APTA component executive to serve a 1-year term as chair. 

Requirements as Chair:
  • Must be a current APTA component executive

Responsibilities: 
  • Facilitate steering group meetings and council meetings (up to 2 in-person meetings per year at CSM and/or NEXT conference, virtual meetings as scheduled) 
  • Lead efforts to foster communication and networking among component executives and APTA
  • Partner with the Board liaison and the APTA staff liaison to the council to provide regular updates to the APTA Board

Experience Required:

2 to 3 years volunteer experience
