Volunteer Opportunity Details

We are looking for experts in the area of TKA, THA and systematic review methodology.  We were approached by the Evidence-Based Practice Center Program, Center for Evidence and Practice Improvement Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, in the Department of Health and Human Services.  Led by Dr. Neibuhr, Medical Officer, they will be performing a THA/TKA prehab/rehab CPG  and would like to include a representative(s) from APTA Geriatrics in each phase.

 Phase I (Topic refinement): Brown Evidence-based Practice Center (the company they have contracted with to do the work) will assemble a key informant panel to advise them regarding the scope of the project.

 Phase II (Systematic review): The EPC (Brown) will assemble a technical expert panel to review the draft protocol and then later the draft report.

 The representative’s involvement will require a few hours reviewing documents and participating in a conference call.
