Description:

Purpose: To streamline engagement and volunteer opportunities directly to universities, states, and professionals in order to facilitate increased participation and awareness of APTA Geriatric opportunities.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and foster the growth of a current database of state associations, professional contacts, and universities who provide instruction in geriatrics content.
  • Create newsletters (quarterly) to communicate with professors of geriatric content to increase awareness of student opportunities within APTA Geriatrics.
  • Report to the Membership Chair for APTA Geriatrics.


    GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

    • All applicants must currently be a student PT, student PTA, or an early professional in addition to having current membership in APTA Geriatrics.
    • Students will hold their respective positions for a total of one year and six months.
    • Student position holders must participate in routine meetings with APTA Geriatrics leadership to receive direction and report their activities.
